At Precision Chiropractic Chiropractic, we are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality chiropractic care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Your first chiropractic appointment is an opportunity for the chiropractor to gather information about your health history, current symptoms, and any concerns you may have. Here's what you can generally expect during your first visit:
- Intake Forms: You'll be asked to fill out intake forms, which include questions about your medical history, current symptoms, previous treatments, and any medications you're taking. This information helps us understand your health background and tailor their approach to your needs. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the paper work.
- Initial Consultation: Dr. Michael will review your intake forms and conduct a thorough consultation with you. They may ask about the specific symptoms you're experiencing, when they started, what makes them better or worse, and how they impact your daily activities. This discussion helps the chiropractor gain insight into your condition and any underlying factors contributing to your symptoms.
- Physical Examination: Following the consultation, Dr. Michael will perform a physical examination, which may include tests to assess your posture, range of motion, muscle strength, and neurological function. They may also perform orthopedic and chiropractic tests to identify areas of concern or dysfunction in your spine and musculoskeletal system.
- Diagnostic Imaging (if necessary): In some cases, Dr. Michael may recommend diagnostic imaging studies, such as X-rays or MRI scans, to further evaluate your condition and rule out underlying pathology. While we do not do imaging in our office, we work closely with our partners to provide and quick and cost effective treatment.
- Treatment Plan Discussion: Based on the findings from your consultation and examination, Dr. Michael will discuss their diagnosis and recommended treatment plan with you. This may include chiropractic adjustments, manual therapy techniques, exercises, lifestyle modifications, and/or recommendations for additional therapies or referrals to other healthcare providers.
- Treatment: Depending on your condition and Dr. Michael's recommendations, you may receive your first chiropractic treatment during the initial visit. Chiropractic adjustments involve gentle, targeted manipulation of the spine or other joints to restore proper alignment, improve mobility, and alleviate pain or discomfort.
- Follow-Up: Before you leave, Dr. Michael will schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress, adjust your treatment plan as needed, and provide ongoing care and support.
Overall, your first chiropractic appointment is an opportunity for Dr. Michael to assess your condition, develop a personalized treatment plan, and begin addressing your symptoms to help you achieve optimal health and wellness. It's also a chance for you to ask questions, voice any concerns, and actively participate in your healthcare journey.
